The contest consists of three parts: Auditions, semifinals, and finals. Auditions were held June 18th, 2008 at 5:30 PM at the Walworth County Fairgrounds. All acts are required to audition in person.

Yeeeee Haaaaaawwwww!!!! The 2008 Country Idol contestants all put on a fantastic show on the Park Square with the help of Mike Early's DJ Service Friday night. If you weren't there, you missed out on all the fun!

Twenty Four contestants showed up for the shin-dig, each got their moment in the spotlight, but only 12 were allowed through to the next round. Idol hopefuls aged from teenagers on up; every one of them sang their hearts out and did a great job. Here are the Results:
